TCF in Aix-en-Provence
IS Aix-en-Provence is an approved examination center by France Éducation International in Aix-en-Provence. We organize three official versions of the TCF – Test de Connaissance du Français – in our facilities:
- TCF IRN (Integration, Residence and Nationality)
- TCF Tout Public
- TCF Canada
These official French tests assess your level of French language proficiency according to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), from A1 to C2 depending on the version chosen. The TCF is recognized by French authorities as well as by many organizations and institutions internationally.
TCF exam procedure
The TCF collective tests are conducted on a computer or on paper, depending on the chosen session.
For computer-based sessions, it is essential to be able to use a mouse and an AZERTY keyboard.
The oral expression test takes place face-to-face with a certified examiner.
All tests are organized in a single half-day. Exact schedules are indicated on the summons sent before the exam.
It is possible to take the TCF as many times as desired. However, a mandatory 20-day waiting period must be respected between two sessions of the same TCF version.
TCF results are generally available about two weeks after the exam.
The official TCF certificate is valid for two years from the date of results publication.
For more information, please consult the candidate’s manual for the Test de Connaissance du Français (TCF).

It consists of:
- Mandatory MCQ tests (listening comprehension, language structures, reading comprehension).

The TCF Tout Public positions the candidate on a continuum of six CEFR levels (A1 to C2), providing a detailed language profile for university applications or CVs.
