French Semester (SF)

This program is designed for students who wish to extend their learning over a longer period, such as a semester. It is aimed at adult learners who want to develop the key language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) while also improving their interaction skills and preparing for an official exam, with the option to take the DELF at the end of the semester.

Objectives

  • Acquire ease and confidence in oral communication in everyday life
    situations.
  • Benefit from a continuous program over 12 weeks.
  • To prepare for an official exam that can be taken end of semester (not
    compulsory).

Program

  • Revision and study of the language structure.
  • Development of key language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing, along with interaction and mediation.
  • Teaching based on everyday situations with the help of varied and authentic materials.
  • Conversations, debates and presentations.
  • Part of the course will be preparing for an official exam or test Delf exam (A2, B1 or B2) with specific training modules.
  • External educational activities can be planned.

Group placement

Each participant completes an online written assessment before arrival
and an oral assessment on the first day.

Teachers

Our teachers all have a degree in teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE) and receive ongoing training to develop pedagogical techniques. They animate alternately the course and coordinate with each other for a precise follow-up

Progress, assessment & certificate

Progress is assessed throughout the programme through regular assessments and a final evaluation. Attendance is monitored in every class. On the final day, each student receives a certificate stating the duration and level of the course completed, in accordance with the CEFR.
