IS Aix-en-Provence launches its online courses!

In this period of confinement, IS Aix-en-Provence teachers ensure pedagogical continuity from their home office. With the help of computers, exchanges between teachers and students are still very much taking place!

Due to the health situation in France, the institute has had to close its doors and suspend all online classes since March 16, for an indefinite period. But despite this situation, classes continue! Our teachers have migrated to a digital curriculum and are now offering online courses!

During this period, you can take advantage of private lessons accessible to everyone, whatever your level of knowledge of the French language. About fifty students have followed us in the transition and are continuing their courses with us. It goes without saying that the health and safety of our team and students remains our top priority. Nevertheless, we believe that it is necessary to offer an alternative to our face-to-face courses and that it is important to maintain our habits as much as possible, even if circumstances have changed. We stay at home but we adapt!

An efficient organization

The course objectives are clearly defined and announced before the course takes place and we still very much offer learning of the four skills: oral comprehension, written comprehension, oral expression and written expression.

The videoconferencing software we have opted for offers a wide range of functionalities such as the use of a whiteboard as if we were in a real classroom or an instant messenger that allows written comments. It is also possible to attach any type of file (sound, image and text). Both visual and auditory profiles can therefore get the most out of the class.

Communication, coordination and collaboration

Although everyone stays at home, the teachers work together. Coordination and exchange of ideas continue through the various communication channels we usually use but also through those we have set up for the occasion.

Students also stay connected through online courses and sometimes even exchange among themselves without the teachers by videoconference.
