GENERAL FRENCH COURSES

French General Course​

We offer a wide range of French language courses, whether you need to learn French for private or for professional reasons.

There is a variety in intensity and length of the courses, and they all have in common the aim at autonomy and communication. Classes are in small groups (10 people maximum) during the whole year with a focus on oral communication.

For all our French courses in Aix-en-Provence the minimum age is 18 years, except for the closed groups where we can accept younger students.

General French (FG)

This course is designed for adults of different nationalities who wish to improve their French communication skills for personal or professional reasons. Students are taught in small groups by qualified teachers, who create a friendly and dynamic learning environment.

  • Obtain fluency and the confidence to communicate in French in everyday situations
  • Discovering French culture and society in different ways
  • Develop your know-how and social skills in an international environment and in situations of communication
  • Revision and study of the language structure
  • Study of the 4 skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing
  • Teaching based on everyday situations with the help of varied and authentic materials
  • Conversations, debates and presentations
  • Different methods of working: collaboration, individually, group etc.
  • From Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 10:30 et 11:00 – 12:30
  • Exceptionally on Monday of arrival and every other Monday 14:00–15:30
  • Schedule may differ if public holiday during
    the week
  • 2 week course renewable several times up to 8 weeks (or up to 10 weeks for students with A0, A1 and A2 levels)
  • 1 week on request
  • 20 lessons per week
  • 4 daily lessons in the morning*
  • 1 lesson = 45 minutes
  • 5 to 10 participants
  • A1 to C2 *
  • Beginner only at certain dates

  • On official starting dates, each new student will do a written and oral evaluation in order to organize the groups
  • Each participant receives, on the day of their departure, a certificate indicating the duration and the level of the taken course based on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR)
  • Our teachers have a degree in teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE) and receive ongoing training to develop their teaching techniques. They animate alternately the course and coordinate with each other for a precise follow-up according to the objectives of the CEFR grid

General French Plus Course

This course is designed for adults of different nationalities who wish to improve their French communication skills for personal or professional reasons. Students are taught in small groups by qualified teachers, who create a friendly and dynamic learning environment. The afternoon sessions are in smaller groups to allow the students to go deeper into the cultural and social aspects of contemporary France.

  • Obtain fluency and the confidence to communicate in French in everyday situations
  • Discover French culture and French society in different ways
  • Develop your know-how and social skills in an international environment and in real-life situations
  • Enhance your linguistic skills with the help of thematic workshops
  • Improve your understanding of political, cultural and social life in France
  • Improve your pronunciation

  • Study of the 4 skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing
  • Teaching based on everyday situations with the help of varied and authentic materials
  • Conversations, debates and presentations

Mornings:

General French and Private Lessons (FGCP)

This course is designed for adults of different nationalities who wish to improve their French communication skills for personal or professional reasons. Students are taught in small groups by qualified teachers, who create a friendly and dynamic learning environment. The course combines the intercultural and dynamic exchanges of group lessons with personalized private lessons to complement the group work.

  • Obtain fluency and the confidence to communicate in French in everyday situations
  • Discovering French culture and society in different ways
  • Develop your know-how and social skills in an international environment and in situations of communication
  • We analyse your request after which the program is prepared in detail by your teacher according to your objectives that are set up with the help of the questionnaire
  • Revision and study of the language structure
  • Study of the 4 skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing
  • Teaching based on everyday situations with the help of varied and authentic materials
  • Conversations, debates and presentations
  • Different methods of working: collaboration, individually, group etc.
  • Progress and content adapted to your request as well as the intensity and the duration of your stay.
  • The content of the course can be adapted to your personal or professional situation. Various and specific themes can be approached in agreement with the teacher: law, finance, business, politics, art and literature, etc.

Private Lessons (CP)​

This course is designed for anyone who wishes to learn or improve their French. Make the most of the opportunity to take a course adapted to your specific linguistic needs and level and benefit from individualised tutoring.
  • We analyse your request after which the program is prepared in detail by your teacher according to your objectives that are set up with the help of the questionnaire.
  • Progress and content adapted to your request as well as the intensity and the duration of your stay
